Who I Help
Therapy for Teen Stress & Emotional Overwhelm in Kent, Ohio
Growing Up Can Feel Like Carrying Everything at Once
Being a teenager can mean trying to keep up with school, friendships, family expectations, relationships, big decisions, and emotions that do not always arrive quietly.
You might hold everything together during the day and fall apart once you are somewhere safe. You do not need to have the right words for what is happening. We can start with what you know and feel right now.

Does This Feel Familiar?
- You feel overwhelmed by school, activities, relationships, or expectations.
- Your emotions arrive quickly and feel difficult to calm.
- You become irritated, shut down, or pull away when things feel like too much.
- You feel pressure to make everyone proud.
- You are struggling with friendships or feeling left out.
- You cannot always explain why you are upset.
- You feel misunderstood by the adults around you.
- You look fine to other people but do not feel fine inside.
- You wish someone would listen without immediately trying to fix everything.
A Space Where You Do Not Have to Perform
Therapy is not another place where you have to get the answer right. It can be a place to slow down, figure out what is underneath the stress, and practice ways to handle big feelings that actually make sense in your life.
We may work on recognizing your warning signs, naming what you need, handling school or relationship stress, communicating more clearly, and recovering after an overwhelming moment.
For Parents & Caregivers
You may be trying to help while wondering whether to step in, give more space, set a boundary, or try a completely different approach.
Before therapy begins, I will explain privacy, caregiver involvement, and how we can support your teen without making therapy feel like another place where they are being watched or evaluated.
Depending on your family’s needs, we may also discuss Parent & Caregiver Support or Family Collaboration.
Ways We Can Work Together
You Do Not Have to Figure Everything Out Before Reaching Out
We can begin with a conversation about what has been happening, what feels hardest, and what kind of support may fit.
